WHY AREN'T WE A MANUFACTURING COUNTRY?
Why is it that the experts that appear on the BBC Business program are knowledgeable about the global economy, while they ignore what is going on in the country? The rest of the country doesn't want to know about the global economy. Is it the London bubble effect? They think they are masters of the world. We will keep you informed about business they say. Well why don't they get up off their backsides and go into the country and find out what business is like, and make this a feature of each day's programme. They should promote the manufacturing industries, particularly those firms who make things, and don't simply assemble from imported parts. We need to get back to the time when we could manufacture everything in a product.
