MAY - THE VIPER (REALLY IN NOT OUT)

NOW THE SERPENT WAS MORE CRAFTY THAN ANY OF THE WILD ANIMALS THE LORD GOD HAD MADE

Worse than Thatcher for arrogance, she showed in her launch statement what she was about. 'I’m Theresa May and I think I’m the best person to be Prime Minister', she said. There will be big trouble ahead if ever she is elected. There is no humbleness about this speech. We have only talk and smoke.

"So I want to talk first about the immediate need for political certainty and economic confidence following the referendum."
Who is going to give that - May of course

"The country needs strong leadership and a clear sense of direction, to give confidence to investors, to keep the economy moving, and to keep people in work."
Who is going to give that - May of course

"we need a bold, new, positive vision for the future of our country. A vision of a country that works, not for a privileged few, but for every one of us."
She is one of the old guard in Thatcher and Cameron's mould, incapable of uniting the Country.

"Brexit means Brexit."
She hasn't said what it means in her terms. One cannot but feel, given her past, and the people gathered around her, that a fudge is on the cards.  We are going to be out, but really we will be in.

"And there should be no decision to invoke Article Fifty until the British negotiating strategy is agreed and clear – which means Article Fifty should not be invoked before the end of this year."
Who is she going to agree the British negotiating strategy with - her friends in the Conservative party?

"If before 2020 there is a choice between further spending cuts, more borrowing and tax rises, the priority must be to avoid tax increases, since they would disrupt consumption, employment and investment. These are all measures that will be taken by a Conservative Government I lead."
There is only one measure here - the avoidance of tax increases, and you have to take that with a pinch of salt.  There is that repeated little word "I".

"Regardless of the time it takes to negotiate the initial deal, it is going to take a period lasting several years to disentangle our laws, rules and processes from the Brussels machinery."
Several years!  Really!!  I told you its going to be a fudge.  She says we will be out but in reality we will be in.  She is not to be trusted.
